Abstract
The increasing demand for secure and reliable academic credential verification has highlighted the limitations of traditional manual verification systems, which are time-consuming and vulnerable to fraud. This paper presents a blockchain-based system for academic certificate verification that ensures authenticity, transparency, and tamper-proof storage of records. The proposed system replaces centralized verification methods with a decentralized framework using blockchain technology and smart contracts. By generating unique cryptographic hashes for each certificate and storing them on a distributed ledger, the system enables instant and secure verification. A structured verification model and automated validation mechanism are introduced to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Experimental evaluation demonstrates a significant reduction in verification time and improved reliability compared to conventional approaches.
